The capital of Tennessee, Nashville is home to many fast-growing industries, such as healthcare, publishing, and banking. About 2.1 million people live in the Nashville metropolitan area, which encompasses thirteen counties in the north central region of the state. Located on the Cumberland River (a tributary of the Ohio River), the city quickly grew during the formation of the United States and experienced grand prosperity that can still be seen today in the city's architecture.

The Grand Ole Opry, a weekly stage concert featuring the best in country music stars since 1925, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and the yearly CMA (Country Music Association) Festival are just some of the reasons Nashville is called "Music City USA."

Today, Nashville is one of the fastest-growing areas in the country, and is home to a wide variety of dining, sports, architectural and cultural attractions.
