Some may find the name Kansas City confusing, as the larger city is in Missouri, but part of a metropolitan area that crosses into Kansas City, Kansas. KC, as it's known, is notable for the many fountains decorating the streets, Kansas City barbecue and its tangy tomato and molasses-based sauce, and its history of jazz. The city is also home to the successful football team the Kansas City Chiefs.

Industry in Kansas City is primarily focused around the government, drug development, and health sciences. It also has an agricultural sector, and the historic City Market is one of the largest farmer's markets in the midwest.
